Consultant-HIM-Coding- Company in FL BUT POSITION based elsewhere out of home -Bachelor's Degree, Specialty – At least one from AAPC or AHIMA or:CCS, CPC-H, RHIT or RHIA; Minimum of five (5) years in a hospital HIM Department and Minimum of five (5) years with a consulting firm conducting Coding Reviews, Auditing, Consultant; not "just" coding; Extensive experience in both Inpatient and Outpatient medical records reviews; Travel nationwide firm, up to 65% of the calendar weeks (maximum number has been 33 weeks per year)-Travel times: Leave home early on Monday morning (usually fly out around 6 AM depending on the destination; may leave out on Sunday, if desired). Leave Client site on Friday "late afternoon" to be home by Friday night; sometimes late, depending on cities. Must use their own personal credit card for travel expenses (NO corporate credit cards available)-Company reimburses travel expenses, with receipts, every two (2) weeks; other skills:Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Email/etc; Have the ability to learn, and use specialty programs, national and designed, i.e. Grouper, codes, etc., Use of, and access to the internet, especially when working with a Client's EMRs, doing research, etc., Have the ability to write a meaningful, comprehensive report after completing a review/audit. 3. Director, Health Information Management- southern CA rural area, facility in process of becoming a 25 bed Critical Access hospital with ADC around 16-18. Has 4 ICU beds, and 6 bed post partum and delivery area. This position has a person filling role, but need a strong RHIT or RHIA, with 3-5 years as a Director / Asst Director in a small or medium size facility. Must know coding, as this is a working manager position. Department of 5 total FTEs. CEO been in place close to year, permanent CFO & CNO being hired. Medical staff around 15 with 2 surgeons, 2 OB/Gyn, Pediatrician, 4-5 GP/FP and numerous specialists. Needs a strong leader who can work well with medical staff and internal hospital staff and wants to be part of team to take this facility to the next level. Within 3 hours of major metro areas, winter and summer resort areas, including some close by as well as interstate access. Must like rural small town atmosphere; salary in $65-70k range plus benefits and relocation; Good communication, interpersonal, physician and leadership skills highly desirable. 4. IT Clinical Coordinator ICC needed for new Dallas area Surgical Hospital. The ICC is responsible for the overall Systems Development Life Cycle maintenance, including responsibility for participating in planning, development, training, implementation, evaluation of use, and maintenance of clinical information systems. Acts as the internal expert in terms of what the HIS/clinical system is and is not capable of, and is responsible for assisting in overall implementation and long term maintenance activities. Collaborate closely with and communicate between - IT and the hospitals clinical staff to be up-to-speed on product features and functionality in aligning daily workflows and strategic objectives. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in information technology or healthcare informatics or equivalent experience is required. Minimum 5 years of clinical informatics experience preferred. Required knowledge of: IT clinical management processes and procedures. Testing processes; Project management skills; Presentation skills; Needs to have a solid understanding of appropriate clinical workflows, commercially available technology, and relational database concepts. Must be able to demonstrate well developed and proven organizational, problem solving, analytical, strong customer service orientation, and oral and written communication skills. Prior experience implementing MediTech information systems is preferred, but not required. The salary is open and dependent upon experience. The candidate is needed ASAP.
